The Upper Place food hall announces new vendors – The Boil Club and Pad Thai Café

The Upper Place, London’s newest food hall which opened in Holloway this summer has just announced two new vendors that will join this vibrant and exciting market The Boil Club, with their signature platters of boiled seafood (opening on 20th November) and Pad Thai Café who will bring the tantalising flavours of Thailand to this North London hotspot (opening on 27th November).

These new independent vendors will continue to add to the eclectic and diverse mix of options in this all-day dining space, which is the first of its kind in the immediate area. The Upper Place sits atop much-loved community cornerstone and Holloway Road stalwart; Nag’s Head Market. 

Gloves and bibs ready? Take a trip to the southern states of the USA with The Boil Club which specialises in jumbo seafood boil bags. Enjoy a wide selection of seafood with the Pick ’N’ Mix style bag where you can choose from their vast array of seafood and fillers from prawns, to crayfish and crab or alternatively you can go large and opt for the Kilo Boil Platters for 2 people, with the options of 1KG of Jumbo Prawns, featuring appropriately 25 – 30 delicious prawns or 1KG of Crayfish with 1416 succulent pieces of a minimum 9cm head to tail. On the fried side, options include Crispy Calamari, Butterfly King Prawns, Crab Claws and Golden Scampi, alongside a selection of sides and dips. 

Pad Thai Café will bring the complex flavours and fragrant aromas of Thailand to this North London spot. Highlights from the menu include starters of Jumbo Vegetable, Chicken and Prawn Spring Rolls, while for mains bring a section of curries including favourites such as their Signature Pad Thai and Khao Pad (Thai fried rice).

These new vendors will join a range of other food stalls, including quality barbecue from Smoketeers, freshly made, hand-crafted pasta from Pasta Mood, award-winning traditional Italian pizzas from Paneria and Pancake and Gelato Bar to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Drinks wise, The Upper Place will offer a dedicated corner wine bar from Rolling Grapes, who have a vast selection carefully hand-picked natural wines from around the world, both by the glass and bottle. The main bar comes from The Italian Job who will serve Signature Brew on tap and a regularly changing selection of local and Italian craft beers, as well as a wide range of classic cocktails.

The Upper Place has capacity for 130 guests and is open from 11am – 9:30pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 9:30pm at the weekends. The majority of food vendors serve between 12pm – 9pm, with the exception of Pancake and Gelato Bar which is open 11am – 9pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 9pm Saturday and Sunday.
