MarBella Collection is proud to be celebrating 50 years of superb service, personalised care and dedication in 2020. Having just completed a rebrand, and with a new hotel set to open in June, this constantly evolving group of hotels in Greece seeks to align itself to travellers’ needs. Marbella Collection has created three unique properties to match different lifestyles; an adults-only hotel, a family-oriented property and one for those with a more adventurous and inquisitive mind.

Recognising that the desires and demands of guests evolve with age and focus, each of the brand’s5* hotels is designed to meet different needs. Sharing the common values of superb service, sensational experiences and outstanding luxury, each property aligns perfectly to the different lifestyles and stages of each guest’s journey.

Each property has been carefully considered throughout the MarBella Collection journey, from the brand’s first property, MarBella Corfu Hotel which opened 50 years ago next year, providing a seamless family friendly offering to MarBella Nido Suite Hotel & Villas which opened its doors in 2018 as the collection’s adults-only hotel. From June 2020, a brand new property will join the group, MarBella Elix. This hotel will mark a poignant step for the brand outside of Corfu in the Parga region, and is set to be a family-orientated property, designed for families who love the outdoors with a spirit of adventure. The property will offer an incredible variety of activities in the heart of nature. The MarBella Collection is the story of a family, created from this vision of superb experience and understanding that the desires and demands that visitors have from a hotel vary according to their age and phase of life.

Valuing the Past

The MarBella Collection prides itself in upholding its family-run values which built the brand 50 years ago. The inaugural hotel, MarBella Corfu was in established in 1965 by Vassilis Dracopoulos’, the owner of the MarBella Collection’s grandfather when he visited the island of Corfu and fell in love with the location where the property now stands. Just three years later, the construction of the hotel began with 62 apartments and the property was crowned Mar-Bella, inspired by the wonderfully calm, crystal seas in front of the property. By 1970 the property had attracted 5* status, international attention and was continuing to expand rapidly. Today, MarBella Corfu and its sister properties are considered among the top hotels in Greece – due to their familial values which made the collection what it is today.

Looking to the Future

Opening next year to mark the brand’s 50th anniversary, MarBella Elix is an inspirational new 5* property in a previously undiscovered area of Greece. As the third hotel to join the MarBella Collection portfolio and the brand’s first property outside of the island of Corfu, MarBella Elix will be perched above the beautiful Karavostasi Beach in the Parga region, looking west towards Corfu and Paxos. An area of astounding natural beauty, the luxurious MarBella Elix sits in unspoilt surroundings where the mountains meet the Ionian Sea.
