North Wales hotel joins global hotel brand to drive tourism

Best Western Great Britain has announced the arrival of Rossett Hall Hotel, BW Signature Collection, to its growing portfolio of over 260 independent hotels. Surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside, yet just seven miles from the historic city of Chester, the property is the perfect base to explore this picturesque part of the country.

The hotel is a grade II listed, mid-18th century building that was built as a home for the former Mayor of London John Boydell. But the fascinating backstory doesn’t end there, with rumours suggesting that Lord Nelson even courted Emma Hamilton at the property while visiting the area.

Much of the original interior remains, including the stone staircase (said to have been designed by a Flemish prisoner of war from the Napoleonic wars) and grand chandelier, while 50 stylishly-furnished bedrooms add a contemporary feel. There is also a recently-refurbished onsite restaurant, with the renowned Oscars Brasserie offering a sophisticated dining experience using local produce.

For business guests, there are two conference suites and two syndicate rooms, which can host up to 150 delegates. Visiting businesspeople can take advantage of special business rates and services, including free upgrades for repeat customers.

The hotel also offers a number of wedding packages, with couples able to stay in the luxurious bridal suite, kitted out with plush sofas, roll-top bath and super king-sized sleigh bed.

Upon joining the Best Western Great Britain brand, Rossett Hall Hotel, BW Signature Collection, has access to a range of tools and expertise to support in driving tourism to the local area.

Nic Rowland, General Manager for the hotel, commented: “We’re extremely proud to see Rossett Hall Hotel, BW Signature Collection, join the Best Western family and take the property to the next level. We’re excited to see what the future holds now we are part of a 260-strong family of independently owned hotels across the country.”
