Hotel Indigo Dundee’s Daisy Tasker Restaurant awarded 2 AA Rosettes

Hotel Indigo Dundee is delighted to announce that its flagship restaurant, Daisy Tasker, as been awarded 2 AA Rosettes.

The restaurant, which is headed up by MasterChef semi-finalist Stewart Macaulay, serves a regularly changing menu of dishes inspired by Dundee.

Named after a former mill worker, the restaurant incorporates a chic bar, and private dining area, and was described as ‘straight out of Shoreditch’ by The Telegraph.

The news comes only four months after the hotel opened its doors this summer, and follows a slew of industry success, which include being named Scotland’s Top Hotel by the Sunday Times, and Dundee’s highest-rated hotel by The Telegraph. The Guardian also included the hotel in their round up of 40 of the best UK hotels.

Housed in a formerly abandoned mill, Hotel Indigo Dundee has undergone a dramatic renovation to become one of the country’s most stylish hotels. Paying homage to Dundee’s heritage of ‘jute, jam and journalism’, bedrooms enjoy bespoke artworks featuring Dundee Cakes, Bon Accord drinks and jars of marmalade, whilst the hotel Lobby features artefacts from the city’s past.

Hotel Indigo Dundee’s General Manager William Inglis has said of the accolade ‘we are absolutely delighted to been awarded 2 AA Rosettes. For such a new restaurant to be recognized in this way is a testament to the hard word, passion and enthusiasm of all of our team members.’

AA Rosettes are awarded solely by AA Hotel and Restaurant Inspectors with no influence from hotels, restaurants or other guides. The long-established and hugely prestigious scheme recognises successful cooking at different levels across the UK. Of all the restaurants across the UK, approximately 10% are of a standard which is worthy of one Rosette and above.
