Celebrate National Afternoon Tea Week with YTL Hotels

YTL Hotels is delighted to share a selection of luxurious experiences to celebrate National Afternoon Tea Week, taking place from 12th - 18th August. Guests are invited to partake in the quintessentially British tradition across YTL’s portfolio of elegant UK properties. From new offerings honouring the history of The Gainsborough Bath Spa and Asian inspired tea at The Academy in the centre of London to the countryside solitude of Monkey Island Estate, YTL Hotels promises an unforgettable afternoon tea experience, combining delicious ingredients with expert service in a unique setting.

Gourmands can enjoy a wide selection of specialty teas from around the world - including the signature Gainsborough blend - alongside an assortment of delicate finger sandwiches and carefully crafted pastries and delicious cakes. Guests can also enjoy a selection of unique savoury treats that pay homage to the YTL Hotels brand's Asian roots, such as tantalising Malay curry puffs and a sesame prawn toast. Those looking to elevate the experience can top it off with a chilled glass of Champagne to toast to the occasion in style.

The ‘History & Heritage Afternoon Tea’ is priced from £40 per person/£75 for two, £59 per person for Champagne or £65 per person for Rose Champagne. Available seven days a week from 3pm to 5pm. Visitors dining during Afternoon Tea Week will receive a complimentary glass of prosecco.

Diners can tuck into classic fruit scones, as well as indulging in a selection of delicious cakes and Scottish macaroons. This can be accompanied by a warming dram of whisky, chosen from the hotel’s award-winning selection of over 160 Scotch Whiskies, including YTL’s very own Adelphi Glenborrodale Batch Six.

Scottish Afternoon Tea at The Glasshouse is priced from £30 per person, £37.50 per person for Prosecco Afternoon Tea or £80 per person for Scottish afternoon tea with a bottle of champagne. Available seven days a week from 1pm to 5pm.

The varied menu features a selection of Asian teas such as Assam, and Darjeeling, as well as Asian-influenced dishes, including Chinese egg tarts, Sesame Jian Dui Dough Balls and Macaroons, alongside the traditional fruit scones served with clotted cream and strawberry preserve. Guests can also enjoy their Afternoon Tea with a glass of Bloomsbury Sparkling Wine or champagne. Available to both guests and the public, Mr Ma's Afternoon Tea offers a glimpse into the poignant melding of two cultures that have shaped the colourful Bloomsbury neighbourhood of today.
