Introducing The New Barbican Bar & Grill At The Barbican Centre
London’s iconic Barbican Centre is welcoming a new bar and restaurant! Now open, the Barbican Bar & Grill is serving up a new menu of lip-smacking burgers and plant-based delights alongside light bites and salads, plus cocktails and carefully considered wine and champagne list.
Part of the Searcys collection of restaurants and bars, the Barbican Bar & Grill, on the first floor of the performing arts centre, boasts stunning views of the brutalist architectural jewel and is home to a popular outdoor summer terrace. With a relaxed feel, the interiors feature a stripped-back look with a welcoming bar and dining area, whilst greenery will be scattered throughout as a nod to the Barbican conservatory next door.
Perfect for casual lunches and pre/post-theatre dining, group bookings and festive get-togethers, the menu puts the spotlight on signature burgers, all made using British meats and locally sourced ingredients. Choose from classics such as the Crispy buttermilk chicken burger with garlic mayo, to inventive twists like the Hawaiian burger with pineapple and red chilli salsa or the Souvlaki chicken filled with red peppers, spring onions and creamy tzatziki. There will also be a choice of plant-based patties, including For the love of cow’s made with a vegan Heura® chorizo burger, topped with lime and chipotle mayo, guacamole and charred jalapeños.
Other dishes include a selection of snacks, such as Crispy tofu nuggets and Spicy ginger and chilli chicken bites, alongside creative salads with a choice of charred halloumi and crispy or marinated chicken, plus vegan options such as Tofu and mango.
At the bar, complement your meal with a creative cocktail, created by the grill’s General Manager, Jonet Espinal. Be whisked away with serves from a Bourbon & Apple Fizz to the signature Cinnamon Tequila Sour – a dreamy concoction of Jose Cuervo tequila, lemon juice and cinnamon sugar syrup. Experts in all things champagne since 1847, enjoy Searcys Selected Cuvée Champagne alongside other vintages and a concise selection of wines.
An ideal place to recharge after an exhibition or to enjoy a cocktail before a concert, with the theatre right on the doorstep, the Barbican Bar & Grill is now open for bookings and walk-ins, with an accessible menu that delivers on flavour and seasonality.
