TRANSFORM YOUR HOME INTO A COMO SHAMBHALA RETREAT

Mini Mindfulness

For many, lockdown has meant spending more time with family or friends than ever before and as a result tensions may have risen amongst households. As restrictions begin to ease, COMO have just the solution for families looking to reconnect and find their inner Zen, with mindfulness coach Cheen Tan’s five-minute guided family mindfulness exercise. Centered around mindful listening to encourage parents and children alike to actively pay attention to their surroundings and truly reconnect on a deeper level, Tan put together the exercise following last year’s successful family-friendly mindfulness retreat at COMO Uma Canggu in Bali. Incorporating some of her key tips and takeaways the exercise emphasises the importance of mindful listening between loved ones, especially during and post-lockdown.

Aromatherapy for Stress

Filled with uncertainty, the last few months have resulted in people finding themselves under more stress than usual, and in order to combat this the COMO Shambhala wellness experts recommend aromatherapy - a naturally-derived, holistic treatment to trigger strong bodily responses. Employing the intense smell of essential oils, each boasting a variety of different properties, aromatherapy can be used to address and treat a range of wellbeing needs. Each with their own wellness purpose, from Invigorate to Shelter, Calm to Comfort the COMO Shambhala range of essential oils are available to purchase online for those looking to transport themselves to the world of COMO through their senses, from the comfort of their own home.

One of the world’s greatest design visionaries, Architect Yew Kuan Cheong began working with COMO over 20 years ago, when he designed parts of COMO Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos. Since then, he has created homes for the likes of Donna Karan, and COMO founder, Christina Ong, and is the visionary behind COMO Uma Paro in Bhutan, COMO Uma Ubud in Bali, and most recently the newly renovated COMO Cocoa Island in the Maldives.
