Dog-friendly escapes with De Vere

A holiday isn’t complete without the whole family, so to ensure that no one gets left behind, De Vere – a collection of historic mansion house estates and distinctive contemporary hotels - has opened its doors to four-legged guests too*.

Pooches will be treated to the paw-fect stay with their own bowl, bed and delicious treats to enjoy throughout their stay, priced from £30 per night, per dog.

De Vere’s hotels are located across the UK, from Surrey to the Cotswolds, and make an idyllic getaway, surrounded by impressive parkland with properties offering up to 250 acres of space, with selected dog-friendly rooms. Ideal for your most trusted companion to stretch their legs, the hotels all have a selection of recommended walking and jogging routes, taking in natural lakes, woodlands, or secret gardens. Guests can borrow a pair of Hunter wellies – available in all sizes - and venture through the properties’ unique landscapes.

“Dogs are a part of the family, so understandably we’ve seen a huge demand in guests wanting to bring their pets away with them.” said De Vere's Brand Director, Richard Smith. “With our properties surrounded by beautiful landscapes and plenty of fantastic local attractions on the doorstep, there is something for everyone to enjoy.”

With over 15 luxury hotels to choose from, guests could head to the Cotswolds and stay at De Vere Cotswold Water Park. Surrounded by 152 lakes, it is the perfect spot for exploring the great outdoors. Dogs are also allowed in The Old Boathouse Restaurant & Bar, which offers picturesque views of the Water Park from the lakeside tables and outside decking.

De Vere Selsdon Estate is located just 14 miles from London in Croydon’s countryside. Situated amongst 200 acres of grounds, the estate has a number of beautiful walking trails to discover, while dogs are also allowed on the 1042 Bar’s new terrace.

De Vere Wokefield Estate, set in Berkshire parkland, is an ideal family retreat with 250-acres of grounds to explore. Dogs are welcome in Wokefield Place and the outside area of Benedict’s Bar so that they don’t miss out on all the fun. While at De Vere Tortworth Court, guests and their pet can enjoy the 30-acre estate home to the Victorian arboretum featuring over 300 plant and tree specimens.
