Foodie hotspot Hart Shoreditch brings a rich history of craftmanship back to East London
Grifco PR has been appointed to handle the public relations for Hart Shoreditch, London’s most stylish hotspot from Curio Collection by Hilton. Located in the beating heart of East London, just a 5-minute walk from Old Street Station and Shoreditch overground, Hart Shoreditch offers a tranquil, laid back and elegant base in which to explore all the local area has to offer. Inspired by East London’s past, the hotels unique design is a celebration of Shoreditch and its heritage as a centre for craftspeople and makers.
Named after cabinetmakers who occupied the building in the 1800’s, Hart Shoreditch is suitable for families, couples, colleagues and locals, even providing a home for furry friends with the ‘Bone Appetit’ dog menu offering four meal options developed by veterinary nutrition experts.
Rooms & Suites – Elegant and Airy
Boasting 126 elegant rooms, two meeting rooms, a communal workspace, gym, a private dining area for up to 12, a restaurant bursting with character, Hart Shoreditch provides an authentic and welcoming community hub for those who live, work and play in the area. Guests can pick from a stunning range of light and airy rooms from a one of a kind King Skylight Suite to a King One-bedroom suite, all complete with sandstone walls contrasted against copper and leather features. Stunning marble bathrooms are fitted with a Bose system, whilst bedrooms style Marshall wireless radios and a Bluetooth system keeping music lovers entertained. Modern and soft colour pallets fill the rooms with tones of grey, white, burnt orange and deep green offsetting a splash of colour. Guests can access the modern gym which is home to all the latest equipment. Communal workspaces provide a setting for guests to share creativity in a relaxed atmosphere. Multipurpose event spaces including two versatile meeting rooms, offer the perfect setting for bespoke gatherings and memorable events, holding up to 26 people in a casual and comfortable setting.
Design – Inspired by a rich history of craftmanship
Designed in partnership with London based interior design consultancy Fabled Studio, Hart Shoreditch seamlessly blends the vibrant heritage and modern-day creativity of Shoreditch to create a contemporary living experience inspired by a rich history of craftmanship. Deeply rooted in celebrating the industries that once thrived in Shoreditch, such as furniture makers and carpenters, beautiful features can be found throughout the hotel. The stunning statement wrought iron staircase replicates the silk weaving process, made of iron and copper with large moons proving an unmissable Instagram picture. A series of large dark mahogany lights comprised of cabinetmakers boxes adorn the ceiling of the bright and airy lobby space, sending a nod to the craftmanship of times past.
Hammered copper detailing on the reception desk harks back to the metalworkers of Victorian Shoreditch and soft textures alongside industrial touches provide a workshop aesthetic. Books and décor have been carefully selected from the local antique shops, whilst bespoke carpets and fabrics made in East London help showcase the strength and beauty of taking raw materials and refining them.
Tavla Bar & Barboun Restaurant – Levantine Inspired Dining
After a long day exploring the local shops of Shoreditch, guests can sit back and enjoy a Turkish coffee cooked over hot sand at the Tavla bar. Providing a vibrant space to enjoy a light snack and some local music, the Tavla bar celebrates emerging talent with carefully selected vinyl DJs setting the tone for the evening. As night draws in, pick from a wide selection of signature cocktails whilst playing a game of backgammon and feast on a selection of food from flatbreads inspired by the flavours of Anatolia to truffle burgers, crispy squid, ancient grain tabbouleh and Burman baklava. The Barboun restaurant is a spacious Eastern Mediterranean restaurant and bar serving freshly prepared dishes cooked over the wood fire and grill inspired by the flavours from Levantine. Highlights from the menu range from a Turkish bagel with honeycomb and kaymak from the breakfast menu, to Shakshuka and Turkish Eggs from the brunch menu and Lebanese favourites Lamb Kofte, butterflied seabream and Muhlama from the a ’la carte menu. Barboun is open for guests throughout the week, with lunch served Monday to Friday, dinner Wednesday to Saturday and brunch available at the weekend.
