Jade Mountain St. Lucia to Feature on TV Series about Amazing Hotels
Celebrity Chef Monica Galetti and Journalist Giles Coren go Behind-the-Scenes at the Five Star Property
Saint Lucia’s Jade Mountain Resort will feature on BBC Two’s Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby TV show, airing next Thursday 11th February at 9pm.
Episode One of the latest series of Amazing Hotels sees Chef Monica Galetti and Journalist Giles Coren visit Jade Mountain, an entirely hand-built hotel in St Lucia where the rooms have no outer wall and are completely open to the ocean and piton views, each with its own private infinity pool or jacuzzi. The pair meet owners Nick and Karolin Troubetzkoy, Giles finds that room service at the resort is tougher than it seems and Monica dives for Lionfish, which they both serve to guests visiting specially to have their wedding on the beach.
In this new series of Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond The Lobby Giles Coren, newspaper columnist and restaurant critic, and international chef Monica Galetti roll up their sleeves to work in some of the most extraordinary hotels around the globe, from Jade Mountain St. Lucia to the Shangri-La in London. Giles and Monica discover that these amazing hotels have much more than the views to offer their guests. In each hotel they work alongside the talented staff to discover what it takes to offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences in awe-inspiring locations. Venturing far beyond the lobby into places that the public don’t usually see and uncovering the meticulous level of detail needed to pull off impeccable service. As they work, Giles and Monica get to know the people who staff these hotels and uncover the inspirational, poignant and heart-warming stories of the communities around them.
