London's former Qbic Hotel rebrands to The Corner London City under RBH management

Following their appointment to operate the former Qbic London City Hotel this summer, RBH Hospitality Management has re-launched the hotel as The Corner London City as part of a 3-month rebrand.

The 183-bedroom East London hotel is now welcoming guests, attracting local visitors as well as corporate travellers to one of London’s greenest corners. New general manager Arun Kumar and the wider RBH team have completed the rebrand with the sense of community, creativity and sustainability at the core of the operation. The installation of slick new self-service check-in stations is one of many continual improvements to the technological and sustainable development of the property in line with RBH’s core values.

Appealing to leisure and corporate guests alike, The Corner London City is enviably positioned near many iconic tourist attractions and some of the city’s best street food, eateries and nightlife within the bustling districts of Whitechapel and Spitalfields, as well as being on the doorstep of the city’s Square Mile. The hotel offers a series of adorned informal meeting spaces, a chic restaurant and bar area, and quirky bedroom designs.

The property’s notable green credentials will continue to evolve under RBH management, having already previously achieved an average of 41% less water consumption than other UK hotels, and 67% less CO2 emissions than industry average. It benefits from electric car charging points, endless innovative recycled installations from the local area and a team committed to uphold a reputation as London’s greenest hotel.

Commenting on the new opening, David Hart, CEO of RBH said: “The takeover and rebrand of The Corner London City on a tight timetable is one of many exciting projects we’ve been delighted to work on this year and the uniqueness and vibrancy of the property is an excellent addition to our growing portfolio. We pride ourselves at RBH on an ability to react quickly and provide customised solutions for hospitality investors who find themselves in unique situations and this project has demonstrated every one of those traits. The efficiency and determination of the entire team to execute a rebrand of this nature is testament to their fervour for getting back to what they know and love as quickly as possible – delivering exceptional hospitality.”

The addition of The Corner London City comes at a pivotal time of expansion for RBH, with two new London openings coming up this Autumn - Gantry London, Curio Collection by Hilton and Westin London City, increasing the number of London RBH-managed properties to 13.
