The Norman Hotel Redefining Luxury in Tel Aviv

Situated in the heart of Tel Aviv, The Norman brings unprecedented sophistication and boutique character to the historic Mediterranean city. Having launched in 2014, The Norman Tel Aviv redefines the art of hospitality, capturing the timeless elegance of the 1920s matched with the comforts of a world class luxury hotel.

The Norman is located close to popular Rothschild Boulevard, Tel Aviv’s first boulevard. By day, Rothschild is a commercial hub with key financial institutions lining the street, whilst at night it buzzes with diners and party goers and is a place to see and be seen in. Converted from two historic buildings in the heart of the ‘White City’, Tel Aviv’s UNESCO heritage site, the elegant property is comprised of 30 bedrooms and 20 suites, including two penthouse suites.

As commented by General Manager, Yaron Liberman: "The Norman is a fusion of 1920s grandeur and contemporary elegance, comprising two iconic buildings superbly restored to their former glory. International travelers experience personal attention to the finest details alongside world-class services and facilities. It is truly an exciting project for all involved and an unprecedented international opening“.

The architecture was conceived by visionary architectural firm Messer and preserves the original building while remaining true to the area’s Bauhaus character, with interior design by David d'Almada of SAGRADA. Original Israeli artwork will feature throughout its public areas, guest rooms and suites ranging from classic oil paintings, unique sculptures, and one-of-a-kind prints that d’Almada defines as “bringing the essence of Israel and its unique culture to life through multiple mediums”.

A resident curator is on hand to offer insights into the artwork displayed throughout the building. In addition, the hotel offers bespoke tours of local galleries and artists' studios, incorporating regular art showings and events taking place around Tel Aviv.

A collaboration between lifelong friends Omer Shadmi Muller and Daniel Zur, ALENA at The Norman presents a new destination dining concept that enhances European-inspired favourites with Mediterranean and Galilean flourish. Having risen through the ranks of world-renowned kitchens - including The Barbary and River Café (London), Pauly Saal (Berlin) and L28 (Tel Aviv) - the chef duo have created a menu that exemplifies a lively yet balanced fusion of contrasting cooking techniques, local foodie traditions, and the constant spirited conversation they share between themselves. At ALENA, locals and guests alike enjoy alfresco dining on the charming terrace, the breezy serenity of the beautiful dining room or the private dining room for a more intimate setting.

Designed with meaningful conversations in-mind, featuring artwork by Sigalid Landau, The Library Bar at The Norman presents the perfect meeting place for hotel guests and locals alike. The beverage team at The Norman, led by award-winning Head Sommelier, Shira Tsiddon, and mixologist Karin Tayar, deliver an extensive list of wines, spirits, liquors, and cocktails.

A 24-hour concierge team is on hand to share their unique knowledge advising on tailored experiences such as hot air balloon and vineyard tours, private art gallery visits and experiential dining. This allows guests to experience the true sense of Israel and provide an insight into this unique destination.

The rooftop at the Norman provides an oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Guests can enjoy the charm and beauty of Tel Aviv whilst relaxing in the infinity pool or indulge in a relaxing massage at the third floor Wellness area. Guests of the hotel’s Suites also have the option of in-room treatments to create their very own haven of relaxation.
