Selected Bespoke Hotels properties across the UK are making effective provision to support their local communities and charities by redistributing perishable foods, starting immediately. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bespoke Hotels has issued an imperative for properties to support their regions and those most in need.

All Bespoke Hotels are reviewing their processes, and those already taking action include:

  • Cotswold House: helped arrange an Afternoon Tea using surplus foods at the Campden Nursing Home; is donating its perishable vegetables to locals who are sick or undergoing hospital treatments at home, as well as to local shelter house for vulnerable adults and a local school

  • The Lyndene Hotel: is donating supplies to its local soup kitchen, Amazing Graze, that supports the local homeless and ensures that people who are self-isolating receive a home cooked meal

  • Oddfellows Chester: organised an Afternoon Tea for the local care home

  • Branston Hall Hotel: donated a car full of surplus foods to the local care home, Woodview in Branston Village

  • Green Dragon on Hereford: is donating perishable foods to its local Food Bank (one of the few accepting perishables)

  • Ennerdale Hotel, Cumbria: is donating perishable foods and some cleaning supplies to the local care home next door to the hotel who look after disabled gentlemen

Given the current circumstances, we cannot let our food and beverage go to waste without helping those in need”, comments Robin Sheppard, CEO of Bespoke Hotels. “We have an active community and local charities in each region - we must work together and be kind to one another during these unprecedented times”.
