Isola by San Carlo Brings Authentic Italian Dining to London

This September, the relaxed yet stylish Italian all-day brasserie and bar Isola will open its doors in the lively neighbourhood of St Christopher’s Place, just a stone’s throw from London’s Selfridges. Curated by the award-winning San Carlo Group that brought Alto and its Dior pop-up to London, Isola will bring authentic Italian dining to the heart of the West End, for a truly unforgettable dining experience.

Comprising a 220-cover restaurant across two floors, a Rosa Pink marble topped feature bar and expansive alfresco terrace, Isola’s surroundings will transport diners to the islands of southern Italy. Set against a colour palette that takes its lead from some of the region’s most famous exports – with natural materials and peach tones offset with pops of lemon, prickly pear and pistachio - the interiors are styled with eye-catching artworks, Italian rattan, marble and woodwork. Outside, the terrace is adorned with verdant foliage and florals, reminiscent of a grand Sicilian home – a Mediterranean oasis in the heart of London with an island state of mind.

Impressive surroundings deserve incredible food and, taking inspiration from Sicily, Sardinia and Capri, Isola’s impeccably sourced menu will offer classic dishes with authentic heritage. Open for breakfast, lunch, after-work aperitifs and dinner till late, guests can expect a taste of the coast with fresh and vibrant dishes such as the signature sharing Spaghetti Granseola – spaghetti for two served with a whole crab – alongside a range of seasonal plates such as Sardinian Porchetta in Myrtle – and locally-inspired pizzas and antipasti. San Carlo’s much-loved classics also feature, including Tartufo e Porcini Ravioli – handmade pecorino and truffle ravioli with fresh truffle shavings, lobster spaghetti and whole seabass grilled or baked in Trapani salt.

In true Italian style, the marble and brass detailed feature bar will serve up a menu of cocktails, perfect for Aperitivo Hour. Whether you’re more of a Negroni connoisseur or Aperol Spritz enthusiast, guests will unwind with an island-worthy serve made to order. A wide selection of wines, champagne and prosecco will also be available by the bottle or glass, alongside a selection of craft beers and spirits.

Isola by San Carlo – the isles of Italy via central London, opening this October.
