Lynn Mackie springs into action to assist the NHS

The company Lynn Mackie is known for making premium quality, bespoke uniforms for the likes of Caprice holdings restaurants, Coutts bank, Fortnum & Mason, Four Seasons and many of the Hilton hotels (which include the new Luxury Hilton Biltmore Hotel - recently opened in London). Similar to thousands of other companies around the UK, normal production has ground to a halt as lock-down kicked in - despite orders and new projects dropping off weeks before this as we drew ever closer to the government announcement. They have now had to adapt to the times and are now making thousands of sets of scrubs for a certain NHS trust. To reduce waste they are also using the excess fabric left over to produce face masks which will be donated to charity.

This incredible effort to produce thousands of scrubs and general PPE was not requested by the Government - they jumped into action as a friend of a friend who was volunteering was tasked with finding the very limited stock. The Warm Welcome Magazine team was amazed at how Lynn Mackie are going above and beyond the call of duty to support our incredible NHS healthcare system! We as a company would like to thank Lynn Mackie for their services during these difficult times.

Lynn Mackie commented: ‘The UK has a vast amount of manufactures that are ready and willing to do this in times of need! It is a shame that the Government and media only see fit to contact and promote the big names in fashion. So many others are also doing more than their fair share of trying to help with a UK supply chain BUT not being pushed out to the relevant NHS trusts. Even when contact has been made It can take weeks to ACTUALLY confirm orders. This could all be so much easier!’
