Dine at The Petersham in Richmond and overlook the remarkable River Thames views that inspired J.M.W Turner. The Petersham announces exclusive lunchtime offer for visitors to the Turner and The Thames: Five Paintings exhibition at Turner’s House, guaranteeing a window table in its famous riverside restaurant and complimentary Champagne.

In celebration of the Turner and The Thames: Five Paintings exhibition currently showing at the painter’s own home in Twickenham, The Petersham is thrilled to offer guests with tickets to view the exhibition an exclusive lunchtime offer in its standalone, award-winning restaurant. Book a lunchtime table in advance, with proof of your exhibition tickets, and The Petersham will guarantee you a table by its floor-to-ceiling windows, offering unparalleled views overlooking the same famous bend in the River Thames that inspired so many of J.M.W Turner’s works.

Running from now until March 29th, Turner and The Thames: Five Paintings features original oil sketches and paintings, seldom seen by the public, and never before housed within Turner’s House itself. These works have been chosen specifically for their depictions of the riverside views that inspired Turner to build his house in Twickenham in the 1800s – and it is these scenes that remarkably can be viewed from The Petersham’s nearby restaurant today.

Guests will have the unique opportunity to marvel in the famous views as recreated in these rare Turner paintings, while dining from The Petersham’s award-winning a la carte or seasonal set-menus, featuring delicious and modern British dishes from highly-regarded Head Chef, Jean-Didier Gouges.
And to mark this special connection with Turner’s House, The Petersham will also offer visitors a celebratory complimentary glass of Champagne on arrival. Taxi transfers to and from Turner’s House can also be arranged on request.
