Fine Dining Restaurant Tanishq Opens Its Doors with a Star-Studded 5* Event
Tanishq, a unique fine dining restaurant in Ongar, has opened its doors to bring the essence of Mayfair to Essex. At the end of September the venue held a launch event that attracted stars such as TOWIE’s Gemma Collins and Love Island’s Maxwell Samuda.
The venue offers a unique fine dining experience with a modern Indian concept created by Executive Chef Kishore Das. Situated in the prestigious neighbourhood of Toot Hill, Tanishq has given the venue a £500,000 makeover, transforming it into one of the most beautiful restaurants in Essex. Positioned on the waterside, the venue boasts a scenic setting for al fresco diners who can enjoy their meal with panoramic views.
Tanishq has an unwavering commitment to sourcing the finest quality ingredients with an emphasis is on using the freshest meat, poultry, and game, all meticulously procured from reputable suppliers in the UK. The kitchen is dedicated to incorporating organic vegetables, demonstrating our steadfast commitment to both quality and sustainability.
The venue’s launch event was a huge success. Attended by press, famous faces, well-known lifestyle influencers, and respected local food bloggers, Tanishq’s guests enjoyed a luxurious five-course tasting menu that had been specially crafted by Executive Chef Kishore Das and Pastry Chef Madhukar Thapa.
The unique menu featured exquisite dishes such as king scallop moilee, Goan hara chicken, and vadouvan monkfish. Meanwhile, its courses were perfectly paired with wine hand-picked by Tanishq’s in-house sommelier, Habib Raja.
Discussing the restaurant and why it’s quickly become her favourite local venue, Gemma Collins, who attended on the night, said: ‘I cannot tell you how amazing the flavours are in the food. There is so much choice on the menu, it’s not like any other restaurant I’ve been to. The tastes are so decadent, and the atmosphere, building and service is 10/10’.
The restaurant’s high-profile guests were also keen to share their experiences on Instagram, showing off the venue’s impressive aesthetics and picture-perfect dishes. Guests described how they were ‘amazed when we tried the food as it was outstanding’, saying “the menu blew me away”.
Behind the successful launch of Tanishq is co-owner Imran Ahmed, who has a long career curating exquisite dining experiences for years and working in some of London’s most prestigious restaurants.
On the opening of Tanishq, Ahmed said: ‘It was fantastic to welcome so many wonderful guests to Tanishq for our launch. We pride ourselves on the exceptional quality of food that we deliver, which complements the impeccable aesthetics and atmosphere at our venue.
