Paradise is Open! Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa welcomes UK guests from 1st October with Seychelles’ “Special Status” initiative

Property selected as a “Safe Hotel” by authorities to welcome “Special Status” tourists

Those dreaming of an exotic, far flung getaway will be delighted with the recent news that the Seychelles has opened to UK tourists as of 1st October, as part of a new “Special Status” initiative. This announcement makes the archipelago the first Indian Ocean destination that UK travellers can visit without quarantining on return, and the recently refurbished Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa on Mahe is excited to welcome British tourists again. The announcement has also seen British Airways relaunch its direct flights to the Seychelles from London from 10th October.

Travellers from “Special Status” countries can visit the Seychelles from 1st October, after completing a preflight test 72 hours beforehand, undergoing screening on arrival and spending four days in residency at one of the hotels listed by the Seychelles authorities as “authorised accommodation”. Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa is one of the few luxury hotels approved on the list and its location on the main island of Mahe means guests staying at the hotel can avoid unnecessary further travel to the archipelago's smaller islands.

During the four days following guests’ arrival in the Seychelles, “Special Status” travellers are required to stay in the hotel, but are welcome to use the facilities as normal. Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa's all-villa offering lends itself well to these new regulations, as guests can choose from a host of comfortable, sea-facing villas, including accommodation with two-bedrooms and private infinity pools for those wanting space and luxury. After four days, guests are required to undergo a final test before they are welcome to explore further afield and use the hotel as a bolthole to discover all that the island has to offer.

As part of the hotel’s recent extensive renovation project, guests can now benefit from new and improved facilities, upgraded public areas, updated accommodation and a new look lobby & arrival pavilion. Other highlights include new restaurant, WAVE, which offers healthy & environmentally-conscious dishes, and a pop-up Gin Bar on the hotel’s lower decking, offering cool beach club vibes within touching distance of the sea below.

The hotel is perched on the hilltops and nestled amongst lush greenery on the north west coast of Mahe. Its scenic setting is ideal for travellers wanting to explore the island and see the Seychelles beyond the beach, with a host of activities available, including diving, hiking, visiting the local rum distilleries and tea plantations, exploring the nearby Morne National Park and finding lesser-known spots by mini-moke.

Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa is the perfect backdrop for a laid-back holiday with loved ones this autumn.

Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa is located in northwest Mahé, 25 minutes away from Seychelles International Airport by car or taxi.
