Introducing Londons newest underground Champagne Bar: 116 Pall Mall by Searcys
Discover London’s newest underground bar, 116 Pall Mall Champagne Bar by Searcys, as it opens its doors for the first time during the week to the public. Behind the stunning façade of the Grade-I listed building, find this hidden gem, which has been reinvented by Searcys into a champagne bar, offering an array of fizz, including one of the largest selections of magnums in London, alongside creative cocktails, British bar bites and a roster of events.
Once the wine cellars of the Prince of Wales and the United Service Club, the space is now a stunning champagne bar. Enter through the original iron gate cellar doors to the converted cellar with vaulted ceilings, exposed brickwork, plush navy-blue seating, and long wood-topped bar, alongside a private dining room, seating up to 50.
A stone’s throw from Haymarket’s two theatres and the flagship stores of Regent Street, the bar is the ideal destination for pre-theatre tipples and champers-infused evenings with friends and colleagues.
Experts in champagne and sparkling wine, the drinks menu nods to Searcys heritage, offering a selection of Brut, Demi-Sec and Rosé, alongside a list of magnums from the likes of Moët et Chandon, Drappier, and Dom Pérignon.
Champagne cocktails including the signature Searcys 1847, a blend of Searcys Selected Cuvée Champagne with Grand Marnier, peach schnapps, and vodka, garnished with gold leaf, sit alongside contemporary creations such as the Snow Leopard Mule with vodka, ginger, and lime; The English Garden of St Germain, gin, rosemary, lime, and cucumber; and the 116 Pall Malla blend of Grey Goose La Poire, lychee liqueur, lime and rose syrup.
The menu has been designed to perfectly complement the Champagne offer and includes light bites and bar snacks, alongside pots and pâtés, including a Confit duck rillette with sourdough. Signature plates feature the popular Searcys smoked salmon with capers, horseradish cream, blinis and dill pickled cucumber and a sharing Artisan British cheese platter. More substantial dishes feature the likes of British Isles fish pie served with buttered seasonal vegetables, and Grilled flat iron steak with watercress and bearnaise.
116 Pall Mall will also host an array of events and entertainment, starting with live jazz nights from 7th October at 7-9pm and a four-course pairing dinner in partnership with Lanson for World Champagne Day on 22 October, alongside future Champagne masterclasses and dinners.
116 Pall Mall Champagne Bar by Searcys is open every Monday-Friday from 12pm-10pm, with bookings available at www.sevenrooms.com/experiences/116pallmall.
