Find your happy plaice where the food is good for your sole at FishWorks Covent Garden!

On 19th October, FishWorks’ head sommelier Tim McLaughlin-Green will host ‘A Plaice with Sole’ – a delicious five-course dinner with paired wines showcasing the best of the noble fishes, British plaice and sole. Dishes specially created for the evening are paired perfectly with Tim’s exclusive collection of small batch wines, all accompanied by soothing soul music.

The evening kicks off with a crostini of sweet, pickled peppers and sole trimmings, paired with a delightful sparkling wine, before a starter of zesty Plaice for Sole ceviche, served with a grassy Riesling. Next up is fried fillet of Megrim sole, served with a Chardonnay-soaked sultana salad and zingy salsa verde, followed by a classic Dover sole Veronique. Both courses are served with two flavoursome white wines, a fruity Soave and full-bodied Chardonnay.

To round off the culinary experience, there’s a rum poached pear topped with coconut crumble and served with a crisp glass of Prosecco.

FishWorks are committed to sustainability and are consciously prioritising sustainable fish and seafood such as plaice and sole. All produce is sourced daily from reputable suppliers and fisheries.
