The Grove launches fiery pop-up restaurant, Cinder, for winter 2021/22

The Grove, Hertfordshire, is delighted to unveil a winter pop-up restaurant in collaboration with Chef Jake Finn. With residency at The Grove’s rustic Potting Shed from 20th October to the 16th January, Cinder will be serving up flavoursome sharing dishes, all of which have been kissed by the flames, allowing the meat, fish or vegetables to really speak for themselves.

The restaurant Cinder, which opened to great acclaim in April in leafy Belsize Village, is known for cooking over fire, and all of the dishes are prepared using a charcoal oven. The pop-up menu at The Grove very much mirrors the original Cinder menu but with beautiful new additions, such as the Spicy black tiger prawns with hot red pepper and garlic; Half lobster with chilli and garlic butter; and the Paddock farm rib eye on the bone. The signature dish from the original London restaurant, Burnt leeks with hazelnut and pecorino, however, does grace the menu. Moreover, all of the dishes will be accompanied by beautiful hand-selected wines, ensuring that every flavour is enhanced to its full potential.

Cinder will also be offering a brunch menu at the weekend, with dish highlights including a Spicy Cinder Shakshuka; Onion and jalapeno frittata; and Grilled peach with yoghurt, granola and honey. Of course, brunch would not be complete without the addition of a Cinder Bloody Mary or Burnt Peach Bellini.

Chef Jake Finn has worked in some of London’s finest restaurants, including Petite Maison, Coya and The Ritz; and his experience and passion for flavour shines through in each Cinder dish. As with the other restaurants at The Grove, Cinder prides itself on its sourcing ethos, where the quality of produce lends itself to simplicity, whilst not compromising on flavour. Although it is a la carte, Jake has also designed the menu to be shared, with dishes served as and when they are ready from the grill.

The Cinder pop-up is set to be an exciting addition to The Grove’s offering this winter, further enhancing the hotel’s position as the ultimate five-star retreat. Just 18 miles from central London, the 300-acre estate boasts four further dining options, a world-class 18-hole championship golf course, as well as an expansive spa, which offers an array of transformative treatments and luxurious facilities, including a 22-metre indoor pool, Jacuzzi, heat experience rooms and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.

Family activities include archery, junior golf camps, forest camps, Segway tours, woodland hawking walks, archery, laser shooting, cycling and much more. In November, The Grove will also host a dazzling fireworks display for Bonfire Night, complete with mulled cider, toasted s’mores and a live DJ in The Glasshouse Bar.

Nightly rates at The Grove start from £370 for a West Wing Classic Room, on a room-only basis. For more information or to book please visit www.thegrove.co.uk or call 01923 296010.
